The artist

After becoming a stylist, photographer, painter, sculptor he moved to Vancouver to work in the film industry. As multi-potentialist G. Brown-Kossi  would like to extend his curiosity in order to blossom in his artistic desires. As an ecletic artist, he uses several media for his art. All its creations are inspired by intensive readings and muticultural travels around the world.The human being has many facets that G would like to explore through his art. 

G. Brown-Kossi est à la fois styliste, photographe, peintre, sculpteur. Il démenage à Vancouver pour travailler dans l'industrie du cinema et étancher sa soif de création. Artiste écletique, il utilise plusieurs mediums pour son art total. Toutes ses créations sont inspirées par des lectures intensives et des voyages muticulturel autour du monde.L'être humain a plusieurs facettes et Ghislain aimerait explorer les siennes à travers l'art.

Exhibition description

The exhibition 'MINDSET" is presented as a conceptual, imaginary and multiple experience, at the same time simple and complex. The artist Ghislain Brown-Kossi invites us to travel in his state of mind (Mindset) where everything is possible.The artist has endeavoured to conceive this exhibition as a journey through his different facets. It is a way for him to express his overflowing creativity. For his first solo exhibition at l'Alliance Francaise the artist includes the space of the place and objects that allow his work to distinguish itself from the simple hanging. The different media used by the artist such as painting, photography, image projection, clothing are a fabric of questioning her inner child. The exhibition urges us to question ourselves on the duty to be ourselves and to follow our own path and no longer those imposed by the society. 

L'exposition Mindset est présentée comme une experience conceptuelle, imaginaire à la fois simple et complexe. L'artiste Ghislain Brown-Kossi nous invite a voyager dans son état d'esprit (Mindset) où tout est possible. L'artiste s'est attaché à concevoir cette exposition comme un voyage à travers ses différentes facettes. C'est une manière pour lui d'exprimer sa créativité débordante. Pour sa première exposition solo à l'Alliance Francaise l'artiste investit l'espace, le  lieu et les objets distinguant ainsi son exposition d'un simple accrochage. Les différents media utilisés par l'artiste comme la peinture, la photo, la projection d'images, les vêtements sont un tissu de questionnement de son enfant intérieur.  L'exposition nous propose de nous questionner sur le devoir d'être nous-mêmes et de suivre notre propre chemin et non plus ceux imposés par la société.
