Soda Pictures Canada is pleased to be bringing Parisian writer/director Alice Winocour’s film Disorder, starring Matthias Schoenaerts (The Danish Girl, Rust and Bone) and Diane Kruger (Inglourious Basterds). The critically acclaimed psychological thriller is a spin on the home-invasion genre, and first premiered in Un Certain Regard at Cannes in 2015, and was nominated for Best Film at the 2015 Stockholm Film Festival.

Synopsis: Disorder follows Vincent (Schoenaerts), a French Special Forces soldier, just back from Afghanistan and suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Even so, he is hired as a bodyguard to protect Jessie (Diane Kruger), the wife of a rich businessman, at their luxurious villa "Maryland". He develops a strange fascination for her, while falling into his own trap of paranoia, unable to distinguish between real and imagined danger and calling into question his suitability for such a high-stakes job that required sound judgement. That is, unless his hunches are grounded and very real indeed.

Soda Pictures Canada a le plaisir de diffuser le fim "Maryland", de la réalisatrice Alice Winocour, avec à l'affiche Matthias Schoenaerts (The Danish Girl, De Rouille et d'Os) et Diane Kruger (Inglourious Basterds). Ce thriller psychologique, acclamé par la critique, a été projeté au festival de Cannes 2015 dans la catégorie Un Certain Regard. Il a également été nominé "meilleur film" au festival international du film de Stockholm.

Résumé : De retour d'Afghanistan, Vincent, victime de troubles de stress post-traumatiques, est chargé d'assurer la sécurité de Jessie, la femme d'un riche homme d'affaires libanais, dans sa propriété "Maryland". Tandis qu'il éprouve une étrange fascination pour la femme qu'il doit protéger, Vincent est sujet à des angoisses et des hallucinations. Malgré le calme apparent qui règne sur " Maryland", Vincent perçoit une menace extérieure...
