Meet the Humans behind the AFV!

Humans of the AFV is an ambitious photography project by Noemie Di FRANCO, intern in the organization and aims to highlights stories of students and the team of the Alliance Française of Vancouver.

Each year, 2,000 students from all ages, attend the AFV, learn French and participate in our cultural events.
Meanwhile, the team of the AFV works hard to give you high quality training programs and to create cultural activities for everyone!

We would like to immortalize these people who share the same passion for French.

The concept of Humans of was created by Brandon Stanston. It aims to make portraits of strangers met in the street, and publish them along with stories and anecdotes each day on social network­. Since then, Stanson’s project has been imitated worldwide. Every big city has now its own Humans of!

It will be the opportunity for you to meet the Alliance Française with new eyes!

Humans Of the AFV est un projet photographique ambitieux fait par Noémie DI FRANCO, stagaire à l'Alliance Française, qui met en avant les histoires des étudiants et l'équipe de l'Alliance Française de Vancouver.

Chaque année, 2 000 étudiants de tous âges fréquentent l'AFV pour apprendre le français et participent à nos activités culturelles.
De son coté, l'équipe de l'Alliance travaillent dur pour donner une formation de qualité et pour proposer des évènements culturels pour tous! 

Nous voulons immortaliser ces individus qui viennent d'horizons différents et ont en commun leur passion du français.

Le concept de Humans of a été créé par le photographe Brandon Stanston. Il a pour but de faire découvrir des portraits d'inconnus rencontrés dans la rue. Ces derniers sont publiés chaque jour sur les réseaux tout en racontant leur histoire ou en rapportant des anecdotes des personnes photographiées. Aujourd’hui les photos de Stanson sont imitées dans le monde entier.  Chaque ville detient desormais son propre Humans Of.

Ce sera une opportunité pour vous de découvrir l’Alliance Française sous un nouveau regard !
