Ephraïm est un jeune garçon éthiopien, toujours accompagné de son inséparable brebis. Confié à des parents éloignés, il s’adapte mal à sa nouvelle vie. Un jour, son oncle lui annonce qu’il devra sacrifier sa brebis pour le prochain repas de fête. Mais Ephraïm est prêt à tout pour sauver sa seule amie et rentrer chez lui.

Ephraïm, a young Ethiopian boy, and his goat Chuni are inseparable. But the uncle whom he is living with since being sent there by his father, to avoid a drought, wants to kill Ephraïm's pet for an upcoming celebration. The boy then hatches a plan to save Chuni and to return to his homeland.
