Originally from Romania, I lived in the beautiful city of Brasov for almost half a century. With a master's degree and doctorate in French linguistics, I taught French as a public school teacher for 23 years. I worked at all levels, from junior high school to university. In parallel, I taught around 5,000 French lessons online. I am the author of three books on linguistics and FLE and several dozen scientific articles.
I am a firm believer in the 'action-based' learning approach, which places the learner in concrete situations of language use, and, more recently, in the co-cultural perspective, because I believe that interaction is not limited to individuals. Dialogue between different cultures is the ultimate proof of success in learning a foreign language.
For over a year now, I've been living in the wonderful city of Toronto, which allows me to attend Toronto Raptors basketball games.
