fait le récit de son corps, de son histoire, des rôles qu’elle a rêvé d’interpréter et de ceux qu’on lui a
imposés. Elle raconte avec humour et sensibilité, à travers des personnages aussi cruels que drôles, son expérience d’animatrice dans des
goûters d’anniversaire, les cours de théâtre et son rêve de jouer Phèdre, les castings… et ce choix de continuer à être actrice,
d’écrire son histoire et inventer
ses propres rôles.
Which bodies, which women, which discourses, which imaginaries are represented in the media, cinema or theater? How do you make a place for yourself when you don’t fit the codes of thinness and whiteness? Sabine Pakora tells the story of her body, its history, the roles she dreamed of playing and those that were imposed on her. She tells with humor and sensitivity, through characters as cruel as funny, her experience as a host in birthday parties, theater classes and her dream to play Phèdre, castings... and this choice to continue being an actress, to write her own story and invent her own roles.

Sabine Pakora est une auteure, comédienne et metteuse en scène française d'origine ivoirienne. Formée au Conservatoire de Montpellier puis à l'ESAD de Paris, elle développe un travail artistique nourri par des réflexions sur l'identité, les discriminations et l'héritage colonial. Cofondatrice du collectif DiasporAct et contributrice à Noire n'est pas mon métier, elle défend une meilleure représentation des artistes noires dans le spectacle vivant et le cinéma. Avec La Freak, journal d'une femme vaudou, son premier seul-en-scène, elle mêle récit intime, humour et engagement politique pour interroger les stéréotypes et les mécanismes d'exclusion.
Sabine Pakora is a French author, actress and director of Ivorian origin. Trained at the Conservatoire de Montpellier and then at ESAD in Paris, she develops an artistic work nourished by reflections on identity, discrimination and colonial heritage. Co-founder of the collective DiasporAct and contributor to Noire is not my job, she defends a better representation of black artists in live performance and cinema. With La Freak, the diary of a voodoo woman, her first solo show, she mixes intimate narrative, humor and political engagement to question stereotypes and mechanisms of exclusion
