Alliance Française Vancouver brings the French language to life through interactive and cultural workshops
; held at our centre or at your school.
We combine bilingual expertise and immersive Francophone contexts to create classroom moments your students will remember.
Students engage in French practice to strengthen their sense of Canadian identity and explore openness to interculturality within
Francophone communities around the world!
Students discover the Francophone world through interactive music, traditions, art, and cultural activities — exploring diversity while
practicing French vocabulary in a fun, hands-on way.
Curriculum links: Core French/FRAL: Exploring and Reflecting (making connections between personal knowledge and new learning,
recognizing cultural elements); Core Competencies: Positive Personal and Cultural Identity, Social Awareness and Responsibility.
$350 per class | AFV or your school
Through improvisation, mime, and role-play, students express ideas, emotions, and stories using both verbal and non-verbal communication building
confidence and cooperation in a playful setting.

Students role-play in a French market, practicing polite conversation, numbers, and everyday social interactions guided by our team,
also included activities designed to strengthen attention to detail and French vocabulary skills, with a french snack included.

Students explore the rich diversity of Francophone music, learning to name instruments, describe sounds, and express emotions in French
while discovering the stories behind musical traditions.

A hands-on baking workshop guided by a professional chef. Students prepare and taste their own creations while building independence and
teamwork through interactive discussion, quizz and games.
Curriculum links: Core French/FRA : following oral instructions and using strategies to support communication in an authentic,
real-world context; Core Competencies: Collaborating, Personal Awareness and Responsibility.
$420 per class | AFV or your school
Students explore the history and vocabulary of the graphic novel format and create their own comic, followed by a class
presentation: an exercise combining narrative structure, and language precision.
Curriculum links: Core French/FRAL: Creating and Communicating (developing a writing style, using visual and digital presentation
formats); Core Competencies: Creative Thinking, Communicating.

Students create a French-language TV broadcast, working in teams to gather fun facts on different Francophone cultures and perform an
on-air segment, discovering the global reach of French.
Curriculum links: Core French/FRAL: Creating and Communicating (using presentation formats suited to sender and audience) and Thinking
and Communicating (using strategies to support communication).

Students watch a film (with French or English subtitles) and take part in guided discussions and activities, building listening skills and
cultural awareness.

Students explore pop culture from Francophone countries, then create their own art to bring home, inspired by French slogans, slang, and
modern themes.

similarities and differences) and Creating and Communicating (creative expression with visual/artistic format).

Speaking challenges, pronunciation exercises, and mini-debates push students to argue and speak up in French, in a high-energy setting
where each team tries to convince or outwit the other.

A team-based workshop combining games and writing activities to explore key moments in Francophone history while decoding idiomatic
expressions and slang in French, around the world.

Personal and Cultural Identity, Social Awareness and Responsibility.).
$300 per class | AFV or your school
Students explore a current art exhibition through a guided tour, with analysis and discussion designed to deepen their critical
understanding of the works on display.
