FakeKnot, My House

MY HOUSE est une nouvelle œuvre audacieuse du chorégraphe queer canado-philippin primé Ralph Escamillan (alias Kiki Legend OA Mother Posh Gvasalia et Canadian Mother Posh Basquiat). Ce spectacle fabuleux célèbre la culture Ballroom et les liens familiaux ancrés dans la structure d’une HOUSE. Transposant le Ball des podiums à la scène, la pièce met en scène Escamillan et trois autres. Voguers de la scène canadienne, ainsi qu’un commentateur local de Ballroom et un DJ. Subversive, joyeuse et ludique, MY HOUSE utilise la construction collective de l’imaginaire propre au Ballroom, à la musique et au mouvement pour transmettre la vérité libératrice d’être pleinement soi-même sur la piste.

MY HOUSE is a bold new work by the award-winning queer, Canadian-Filipinx choreographer Ralph Escamillan (aka Kiki Legend OA Mother Posh Gvasalia and Canadian Mother Posh Basquiat). This fabulous performance celebrates Ballroom culture, and the familial bonds embedded within the structure of a HOUSE. Bringing the Ball from the runway to the stage, the piece features Escamillan and three other Voguers from the Canadian scene, with a local Ballroom commentator and a DJ. Subversive, joyful, and playful, MY HOUSE uses the collective fantasy-building of Ballroom, music, and movement that carries the liberating truth of being fully oneself on the floor.
