Alliance Française Vancouver offers field trips and unique workshops for K–12 classes across British Columbia.
Held at your school, at AFV, or online, our programs welcome all levels of French. Students engage in French practice to strengthen their sense of Canadian identity and explore openness to interculturality within Francophone communities around the world.

Animated Story - Le Petit Prince

Focuses on active listening and identifying key story elements. Students create a creative project on  the book’s values through drawing and discussion.

Improv & Mime


Students play games and improv to build French skills while exploring theatre and mime, with a focus on turn-taking in a conversation.

French Film


Students watch a French film, developing listening, comprehension, and cultural awareness.

Little Francophone Explorers

Students enjoy French cultural activities, learning new words and traditions from Francophone countries.


Art in Words

Students tour our art gallery, exploring artworks, movements, and cultural ideas.

Story in Motion

Students watch the beginning of a video and step into the role of playwrights, creating and performing the rest of the story as a short play while practicing parts of speech and anticipating the plot.

Baking-Cuisine 

Students participate in a hands-on baking or cooking workshop doing a Francophone recipe. A chef demonstrates the recipe, students prepare it and enjoy it, to sharpen autonomy and team work.

Experience the unforgettable shows in our theater!

MARCH 4 - MAGIC SHOW

Join Ben, a French magician from a small Inuit community who speaks English, French, and Inuit. Seen on Canada’s Got Talent and France’s Got Talent, Ben shares his inspiring journey through storytelling, humor, and breathtaking magic. Students will discover northern cultures, be inspired, and marvel at illusions blending art, language, and wonder.
Focus: arts education (drama & performance), communication
Grades: 4–10

MARCH 10 - DANSE SHOW

Experience “Oro,” a powerful dance performance by Khoudia inspired by Latin and Yoruba meanings of speech and existence. Through movement, she transforms words into emotion, inviting students to explore how the body can tell stories and connect us all.
Focus: Creative & critical thinking, social awareness & global perspectives, personal & cultural identity
Grades: 7–12

APRIL 23 & 24 - THEATER SHOW

A funny and poetic show about a little pea that starts thinking outside its pod. Follow its journey through mountains, rivers, laughter, twists, and wonders, sparking imagination and joy.
Focus: Personal & social awareness, arts education (drama & theatre), social-emotional learning (SEL), communication
Grades: Kindergarten – 4

MAY & JUNE - THE WORLD CUP: When football brings countries together

Gateway to explore global cultures and the French-speaking world. Through teamwork, creative activities, and oral presentations, students discover how sport, language, and culture connect countries around the world.
Focus: Culture, language learning, social studies, geography, oral communication, creativity, teamwork
Grades: Kindergarten – 12
