Entertainment has always been a way to escape, to experience new realities, often through the unknown. Whether it’s film, television, or video games, each cultural medium offers a sense of discovery. However, for the most immersive experience, nothing compares to virtual reality (VR), it can even be used to learn more about langages. A quick explanation of this technology is available in this video.
At, V-Unframed, our digital art exhibition, we offer immersive experiences that allow visitors to discover not only new worlds but also new emotions, all through different formats and universes. From virtual concerts to cosmic trips, you’ll live a thousand lives during the weekend of November 17-18th 2024.
Here’s a glimpse into some of the discovering experiences waiting for you :
The story is also set in space, on a foreign planet. The journey unfolds between two characters from vastly different worlds and their struggle to coexist. This interactive tale immerses us in the tranquil life of Oto until a spaceship crash—carrying Skippy, a human cosmonaut—shatters the planet’s peace. The narrative explores powerful themes of colonization, the complex dynamics between native populations and newcomers, and pressing environmental concerns.
Space, that infinite expanse that fascinates as much as it terrifies. The Astra attraction lets you travel and contemplate various planets aboard your spacecraft. In this artwork, the viewer will have a captivating journey through space, as if you were a true cosmonaut. The mixed reality technology, combining VR with augmented reality, transforms the environment into a spaceship, making the experience even more immersive —while maintaining a sense of realism.
The unknown can also be found in the past time. This art will take place through a series of time jumps, spanning from the 1970s to a
post-Anthropocene future,
The viewer follows the trail of a mysterious creature, journeying across eras and uncovering the intricate ways they
are interconnected.
VR doesn’t just allow us to explore the past—it also lets us imagine the future. Errances is a short VR journey through a desolate yet majestic world aboard a futuristic vehicle. Through electronic melodies by Ryvage, this immersive meditation reveals our technological choices and their consequences.
Discovering new worlds doesn’t always mean traveling to distant planets or different eras. Sometimes, it means stepping into someone else’s life. In this exhibit, you will guide an elderly woman on her final journey toward death, reviving her memories and helping her resolve her inner conflicts to find peace.
We’ve all attended a concert, but not everyone has done so in augmented reality. The VR artwork Formations merges a live electronic music concert with virtual worlds. This multisensory experience is interactive, reacting in real-time to the music being performed, creating an immersive, dynamic fusion of sound and vision.
The V-Unframed exhibition invites you to explore beyond the boundaries of the known and dive into new, emotionally rich realities, all with
the power of immersive technology.
