As a francophone cultural centre that hosts over 70 events a year, and on the occasion of International Dance day, we thought we would share with you a list of the ten most famous French dancers in the world who have been recognized for their masterful, precise, and beautiful way of dancing. 

Sylvie Guillem


Guillem is widely regarded as one of the most exceptional ballerinas of her generation. She was a principal dancer with the Paris Opera Ballet and later with the Royal Ballet in London. Guillem's style was marked by her remarkable flexibility, technical precision, and expressiveness. She was also known for her willingness to take on challenging contemporary dance works and collaborate with leading choreographers.

Benjamin Millepied


Benjamin Millepied is a French dancer and choreographer who is best known for his work as a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet and for his role in choreographing the film "Black Swan." He is also the founder of the LA Dance Project and has created works for leading dance companies around the world.
