Meet Christine Socasau, our new Executive Director
Born in Montreal, Christine studied at HEC Lausanne in Switzerland before living and working in Paris and Toulouse. After more than a decade in Europe, she settled in Vancouver, where she has lived for over twenty years.
Her career spans strategy consulting, marketing, business management and team leadership. She has held senior leadership roles at HSBC and later RBC, where she led the development of digital investment platforms. As Executive Director and a founding board member of the France–Canada Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Western Canada, she has also worked to strengthen ties between the French and Canadian business communities. Connecting people, creating opportunities and helping initiatives grow have been common threads throughout her career.
Coming from a family of musicians, Christine values the arts and finds her own creative voice through writing. She recently published Here Forward: Dare to Author What Comes Next, her first book, written in English, which explores leadership, choices and our ability to write the next chapter of our own stories.
Her vision for the Alliance
Revenue serves our mission. Growing it strengthens our ability to support education, bring culture to life, and promote the French language and Francophone culture across Canada’s Pacific region.
My role is to listen to our teams, understand their needs and support their work. By building on their expertise and the Alliance’s achievements, we can shape what comes next together.
