Suzanne (Suzy) Buckley, Treasurer

Suzy joined the board in 2018. 

Fluent in 3 languages - English, French and Arabic, Suzy views cultural exchange as an essential way to promote greater understanding.  She enjoys the many community events organized by AFV. Suzy is proud to be part of the efforts to give AFV a new home that will provide even greater opportunities for cultural programming.

Suzy is currently the treasurer of the board and sits on the Financial Planning Committee for the new AFV building project. She is a principal at Competition Economics LLC, with over 20 years of consulting experience in litigation matters primarily involving intellectual property, breach of contract, false advertising, and other commercial disputes. She has also taught courses in economics at several universities. 

Suzy earned an M.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland at College Park and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Swarthmore College.
