Emma Brédy

Emma Brédy

Hi! My name is Emma. I grew up between the French countryside and the city of Lyon, known for its gastronomy. You may (or may not) have heard of the ‘bouchons Lyonnais’ (traditional restaurants). Even as a child, I helped my younger brothers with their homework, and this part of my personality has never left me and led me to become a teacher. I am genuinely interested in different people and cultures. I also enjoy the challenges that my job offers me. I have a Master's degree in teaching French as a foreign language. I have taught a variety of audiences in France and Lithuania: refugees, students at the University of Lille and Kaunas (in Lithuania), high school and middle school students, and children. I moved to Vancouver to teach at the Alliance Française. In my free time, I enjoy visiting museums, going to the beach, hiking, listening to music, and reading thrillers and detective novels.
