Whitney Brown is a strategist, fundraiser and communicator with more than a decade of experience designing campaigns that connect people to causes and inspire meaningful action. As Partner and Chief Strategy Officer at Public Outreach, she leads national digital operations and oversees multi-channel strategies — across digital, phone and face-to-face — for some of North America’s leading non-profits, with a focus on new donor engagement and long-term supporter relationships.
Whitney’s connection to French language and culture is both personal and professional. Her parents live in France, and her father, Richard Brown, is the outgoing Vice Chair of AFV’s Board. At Public Outreach, she frequently works in French, managing bilingual campaigns for Quebec-based clients.
She brings to the AFV board deep experience in strategic planning, digital communications, fundraising, and governance, having previously served on the boards of Megaphone Magazine, the Global Youth Education Network Society, and the Canadian Women Voters Congress.
Based in North Vancouver with her wife and two children, Whitney is passionate about AFV’s mission as a vibrant hub for curiosity, community, and cultural exchange.
