Originally from the south of France, I grew up in the Roussillon region. In the early 2000s, my desire to live in an English-speaking country led me to move to the United States for a one-year work contract. After returning to France for a few years, I decided to settle in Canada, on the west coast, in Victoria. There, I worked in the tourism industry for many years and now work in a government liquor store.
My French heritage is very important to me, as is the idea of sharing it with those around me, so I quickly became a volunteer in my city’s francophone community. In 2019, I was elected to the board of directors of the Alliance Française de Victoria, before becoming vice-president in June 2020, and then president—a position I still hold today. Convinced of the need to grow AF Victoria to ensure its long-term future, I worked hard with my administrative team on the merger with AF Vancouver and am delighted at the prospect of a bright future for our new organization, Alliance Française Canada Pacific.
