For the 30th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, this documentary stages three Berliner characters in 1962.

Whilst Willi - who was commandeered as a border guard by the GDR - tried to flee to West Berlin, Marienetta - who enrolled in a support group for fugitives - follows the tunnels of the city in the opposite direction. Mother-of-two Dorit is just as worried and brave as they are trying to escape from the GDR. Hope, fear, sense of duty and militancy are felt through the posts with pencil and ink drawings and period photographs. This ensemble account composes the various Instagram stories that separate fact and fiction through archived documents.
