“Rencontre Avec” is a rendez-vous with artisans/artists who highlight the French-expertise in Vancouver. Every two months, we invite you to discover their craft, the traditional know-how of their work.

We are pleased to welcome Camille Boitel, a French performance artist who is presenting his show The Man of Hus in Vancouver during the Push Festival (Feb. 1-2). This multi-faceted and highly-talented artist combines comedy, dance, music and acrobatics together to reinvent the circus arts.

Camille Boitel will share with us his story, from his training at Ecole de Cirque Annie Fratellini, to writing his own shows and creating his company L’Immediat. He will share his unique approach to his art, to develop projects at the intersection of circus, magic, and contortion, creating a theater of objects and movement.

"Rencontre avec" est une rencontre avec des artisans/artistes, ambassadeurs du savoir-faire français à Vancouver. Tous les deux mois, nous vous invitons à découvrir leur métier et l'art de leur travail.

A l’occasion de la présentation de son spectacle L’Homme de Hus dans le cadre du Festival PUSH, nous sommes heureux d’accueillir en ce début d’année Camille Boitel. Artiste touche-à-tout, aussi bien comédien, musicien, danseur qu’acrobate, Camille Boitel réinvente l’art du cirque.

Camille Boitel nous parlera de son parcours professionnel, de sa formation à l’École du Cirque Annie Fratellini, jusqu’à l’écriture de ses propres spectacles et la création de sa compagnie L’Immédiat. Il nous expliquera son approche artistique unique qui l’amène à la jonction de l’art du cirque, du théâtre d’objet et du théâtre de gestes.
