Located in the urban beauty of Jericho Beach Park, the 2016 Vancouver Folk Music Festival runs July 15-17, presenting a roster of global folk from 18 different countries on seven summer beachfront stages.

Over 60 acts are slated to perform, including singer/songwriter icon and activist, Bruce Cockburn, The Wainwright Sisters, the world sounds of Haiti's Lakou Mizik, Les Noces Gitanes from France, New Brunswick's Lisa LeBlanc and Les Hay Babies, Quebec-based artists Élage Diouf, Emilie and Ogden, Karim Saada and Flavia Nascimento, Elida Almeda from Cape Verde, PEI's Ten Strings and a Goat Skin, and many more.

In addition to all the activities in the new Francophone Tent, the festival also features the Little Folks Village, Artisan Market, Folk Bazaar, Community Village, and an international Food Area that offers a stunning array of delicious options.

The VFMF welcomes folks from all walks of life to their accessible, environmentally-aware, family and people-friendly event.

Children 12 and under get in free.

L'édition 2016 du Vancouver Folk Music Festival se déroulera dans le parc de Jericho Beach et proposera une série de concerts avec des artistes folk venant de plus de 18 pays et qui se produiront sur sept scènes différentes.

Parmi ces artistes, figurent notamment l'icône et activiste Bruce Cockburn, The Wainwright Sisters, les Haïtiens Lakou Mizik, le groupe français Les Noces Gitanes, Lisa LeBlanc et Les Hay Babies du New Brunswick, les artistes du Québec Élage Diouf, Emilie and Ogden, Karim Saada et Flavia Nascimento, Elida Almeda du Cap Vert, Ten Strings and a Goat Skin de Prince Edward Island, et beaucoup d'autres.

En plus de ces concerts, le festival inaugure cette année la Tente Francophone et accueille de nouveau un village pour enfants, le marché des artisans, le Folk Bazaar, le Community Village et des stands de gastronomie du monde entier.

Le VFMF accueille tous les visiteurs sur son site familial, accessible et respectueux de l'environnement !
