Biography
An active ambassador of classical guitar around the world, Jérémy Jouve is continuing his international tours and his recordings with one objective : to attune classical guitar with modernity.
Jérémy Jouve had his musical training in France, studying with distinguished guitarists including Eric Franceries, Alberto Ponce, and Roland Dyens. He is a graduate of the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, and of the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in guitar and chamber music. He was selected to pursue further studies with László Hadady, principal oboist of the Ensemble Intercontemporain. Precocious as a musician, at the age of ten he played a Vivaldi concerto with the Orchestre de Chambéry, going on to win various national prizes. Based in Paris, he embarked on an international career, with awards including first prize in the International Competition of the Guitar Foundation of America (Mexico, 2003) and in the Tychy International Guitar Competition (Poland, 2002). After a concert tour of forty venues in the United States, Canada and Mexico he appeared at the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, the German Iserlhon Guitar Festival, the Radio France Festival at Montpellier, the Mexican Saltillo Guitar Festival, and at the concert hall of the Luis Ángel Arango Library in Bogota, as well as in India, Singapore, Great Britain, Greece, Spain and elsewhere. He made his first solo CD in 2004 for Naxos, followed in 2006 by the first volume of works for guitar by Joaquín Rodrigo. In 2010 the American company Melbay issued a DVD of a concert recorded live in France (22060DVD).

Biographie
En nouvel ambassadeur de la guitare classique de par le monde, Jérémy Jouve multiplie les tournées internationales, et, les enregistrements avec un seul objectif : faire rimer guitare classique et modernité.
Jérémy Jouve a effectué sa formation musicale en France, à l’Ecole Normale de Musique puis au Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris (CNSMDP), étudiant avec des guitaristes renommés comme Alberto Ponce ou Roland Dyens. Musicien précoce, il joue un concerto de Vivaldi avec l'Orchestre de Chambéry, avant de gagner plusieurs prix nationaux. Basé à Paris, il se lance dans une carrière internationale et remporte le concours international de guitare GFA à vingt-quatre ans. Ce concours lui ouvre ensuite les portes d'une tournée nord-américaine de cinq mois, et d'un premier enregistrement chez Naxos en 2004. Il se produit également sur les plus grandes scènes musicales dans le monde. En 2006, il enregistre deux disques consacrés à l'œuvre de Joaquín Rodrigo, et en 2010, la société américaine Melbay publie un DVD d'un concert enregistré en France. Jérémy Jouve enregistre également un disque, en duo avec flûte, pour Reference Recording, nominé aux Grammy Awards 2014.Cette musique est à l’image de la guitare classique qu’il souhaite incarner : libre.
